Block Printing Workshop

Participants will be introduced to the rich tradition of South Asian block printing, exploring its cultural roots, historical significance, and enduring artistic practices. The workshop will provide an overview of the materials and tools used in block printing, including hand-carved blocks, inks, fabrics, and printing techniques.

Through guided, hands-on instruction, participants will first practice printing on fabric samples to build confidence and familiarity with the process. Once comfortable with the techniques, they will design and create their own custom printed tote bag to take home.

Participants who finish early will also have the opportunity to complete a second project by designing and printing a tea towel. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided.

Fee: $50 – members and $60 – non-members
