Weaving: Advanced Rigid Heddle Class

Students who have mastered the basics of warping a rigid heddle loom will expand their
skills by weaving a cotton table runner. They will add stripes of colour in both the warp and
weft of their project and they will learn several patterns using a pick-up stick in the rigid
heddle loom to add texture and colour design to their weaving. Students will complete a
metre long cotton table runner to take home at the end of the class.
NOTE: Students must have completed the “Intro to the Rigid Heddle Loom” class or have
similar experience knowing how to warp and plain weave on a rigid heddle loom to
participate in this class.
