Intro to Sewing – Tote Bag Workshop

Blue and white tote bag

Whether you are an experienced stitcher or a novice, why not spend a Saturday morning having fun constructing a simple reusable cloth tote bag?

Nowadays, we all need reusable bags that can be folded and tucked away and used to carry our groceries or when a bag is required.

These bags are relatively simple to construct; the instructor will provide some fabric, and you can purchase fabric and other supplies from the instructor for a material fee of $10:00.

Please bring the exact cash on that day if you choose to buy materials. However, feel free to bring material you may have, a 1/2 metre, will suffice, or use old garments you may want to upcycle.

The instructor (Sylvia Defend) will provide instructions and a few sewing machines; however, if you have a sewing machine, please bring it in on that day.

Where: The Burr House, 530 Carrville Road, Richmond Hill. Free parking in the back.

Time: 10 am – 2 pm
