Advanced Beginner Weaving on a 4-shaft Table Loom

Spend the weekend advancing your weaving skills!

The participants will learn how to create a multi colour warp, gain an understanding on how to read instructions for this and gain a better understanding on how to read a draft from standard books. They will create 4 shaft twill gamp sampler (collection of pattern samples), showing how changes in treadling and use of colour affects the patterns developed.

Participants in this course must have an understanding of the steps required on setting up a project, basic weaving concepts and are familiar with terms related to weaving.

All equipment and yarns required will be supplied along with a course handout with pattern drafts. A $10 materials fee will be collected from each participant at the time of the class and is paid to the instructor.

Guild members can continue to work on their sampler past the time of the class.
